When you use the contact form we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you type.

We also collect anonymous usage statistics — which pages are opened and how often — so we know which sections are useful to readers. This does not identify you.

Contact messages are read by the site administrators so we can reply to you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

The site stores a small cookie to remember whether you are reading in Tamil or English, and whether you prefer the light or dark theme. Analytics cookies help us count visits.

You can clear these at any time from your browser settings. The site works without them.

Information shown in the directory, village pages and job listings is published because it is intended to be public. If a listing about you or your business is wrong or you want it removed, contact us and we will correct it.

When you sign up as a blood donor we keep your name, phone number, blood group and village, and if you give them, your gender, year of birth and the date you last gave blood. Only the site's staff see them; the public page shows only how many donors there are of each group.

We use them only to ring you when someone needs your blood group, and never give your number out. To be removed, message us on WhatsApp or use the contact form and we delete your details.

A problem you report is published without your name. A lost or found notice shows the name and phone number you give, so that people can reach you; the number is hidden once the item is back with its owner, or 60 days after the notice went up. Ask us and we remove the notice altogether.

If you turn on breaking-news alerts or special-day reminders, your browser gives us an anonymous push address and we note which alerts you chose and your language. Nothing about you is attached to it. Turn them off on the same page, or block notifications in your browser.
